"D" is for Debbie

I know that I'm supposed to be working on nautical frames, but when I saw this frame over at A Little Tipsy, I knew I had to make one. The taping was ok, but trying to trim it just about drove me nuts. I actually did the frame right after it was in, get in car, go to Michaels, buy tape. Then I decided I wanted to have a beautiful aqua flower on you know aqua isn't in season?! I have been to my fair share of places that sell flowers over the last month. Bought every other flower, why I don't know, I'll need them someday *s*. I settled on chopping up a white gerbera and 2 fuschia ones that look similar. And when I say chopped, I mean get the wire cutters out and try not to get your fingers in there chopped. What was left of the flowers I used E6000 to glue onto the frame and used a large bottle of lotion to hold them down til they sat up. I really like the way it turned out, but I really wanted an aqua flower =) The best part though was I hung it from a hook in the kitchen to take the pic in the light and forgot about it. Hubby comes home, looks at it, and keeps walking. I think I've lost the art of surprising him.
