Happy Birthday to My Princess
Two years ago today we were in the middle of our home inspection praying for the best, when we got the call. The "I think I'm going to the hospital now" call. She couldn't wait for us to drive to North Carolina in time, but we saw her a couple of hours after she was born. What a perfect angel. She's growing up so quick! Mimi loves you very much and hopes you have a day as beautiful as you are ♥

I'm a Grandma!!
I received a really great birthday present from Dawnanna...her beautiful baby girl was born a couple of days after my big day! We had just started the home inspection when she texted that she was admitted to the hospital. After rushing that along and rushing my inlaws who were driving down with us, we made the 12 hour drive. Sadly we missed the birth, but we were there only a few hours late and were able to snuggle with our new little one. She's adorable with her ten tiny toes and fingers!! She was 20.5 inches long and 7.8 pounds, which is quite a bit smaller than the doctor was predicting. Touched with a little jaundice, they have been visiting the doctor everyday and taking her out in the sunshine for small periods of the day. Mama and little one are doing well =)

Baby Shower Lovelies
Better late than never, here are some pictures of the baby shower that I hosted for my step daughter. I didn't get to put as much effort as I wanted with everything else going on, but it went great and I received a ton of compliments (thanks Pinterest!) Daughter was happy and that's what matters most. We hosted in a local state park cottage, and I highly recommend doing it!! We were comparing prices and this won out by a landslide. Since it was on short notice to begin with (had less than a month), it was difficult to find spots and most averaged around $100 an hour. WHOA! This beautiful all wood cottage with a fabby kitchen and fireplace was only $95 for the whole day!!!

December 31
Hello!! Welcome to my 365!
My what you may ask? Basically everyday I take a picture of something that happened during the day and I post it with a little detail about the photo, like the whys, wheres, how comes. You get the picture, well, I guess literally, you'll get 365 of them!
Photojojo has an article on it, just click on the website name and take a peek at it. I think it is a pretty cool idea.
I will prolly post a few days at a time, just so I do not get overwhelmed. I know if that happens, it's all over with and this won't be fun anymore, and I don't want that. This is supposed to be fun!!
Ok, I know, you're thinking that this is supposed to be a project for the new year, but this has a purpose. Last year had some very rough times in it, and these are here to remind me that 2009 is going to be better. The first one is the hot water tank that decided it was time to move on. It did get fixed on the 30th, but since I rent, I had no say in what replaced it. Imagine my surprise to see that it shrunk to a 40 gallon tank that had a sticker on it from 2001! The first time I run out of hot water...The second picture has an airplane in it. Yes, it does, I swear, I was there, I saw it take off, lol. That was a very sad day. My step daughter has never been with us for Christmas morning (she's 17), and she had the opportunity to fly here to spend it with us. That was her dad's present, and boy was he surprised!! She flew out on the 29th, and this picture was taken across the street from the airport.
