All These Dust Bunnies...Everywhere!!
Leave my blog alone for awhile and boy does it get dusty lol! I'll be starting to update regularly soon *s*
I have created a new Facebook and a new Instagram so my Twitter and Pinterest all have the same username (adayinmylife365). The things that I wish I had thought of years ago. Hope that you'll join my mailing list or one of the social media sites so we can keep in touch...xoxo

Lost in Space
Yep, lost in space. What you may ask? My emails. I get literally a ton of blog updates in my email every day. Then one day...they stopped. Now because I'm a technical type of person, I have spent the last month (didn't say I was timely) checking settings, changing passwords (in case I got hacked), checking some of the blogs that I know I hadn't received updates from. Nobody has mentioned it. Then one of the blogs I read came through today. Apparently Feedburner stopped working in mid April. It's nice to know I'm not nuts. Sad, but not nuts.

I'm Normal Again...
Well, as normal as normal gets anyway. I'm back to my regularly scheduled life. I have brought with me a case of the sniffles. Which includes a bag with cough drops, cough syrup, tissues, and sanitizer. Never leave home without it lol. Oh, and my blankie. Yes, I take my blankie to work with me. Our building is a little on the chill side so we can keep all of our servers happy, so I keep my blankie over my legs. I'm excited though to be back to being off at 3:30! I couldn't keep up with the housework! The dust bunnies were in process of staging a revolt. No fears though, I haulted that production =) I admire all the the working families that can still keep a house clean!!!! Spring's around the corner my chickies woot woot!

My Last Day
Sadly, this is my last day of 4 a.m. I'll be going back to my regularly scheduled life for the rest of this week. THEN, I have another schedule change. I'll be taking a continuing education course at work for a week and a half. THEN, yet another schedule change, I'll be working 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a week. I'm sooooo confused...can't tell if I'll be coming, going, or staying. I'm such a scheduled type of person, I'm going to go crazy! Wish me luck friends...xoxo

I'm Not a Morning Person...Or So I Say
Tomorrow is the first day of the the next two weeks. Yes, I'm aware that is not how the saying goes lol. I finish work today at 4 p.m., and...start my day tomorrow bright and early...in twelve hours! Someone made a small booboo in shift coverage, so I "volunteered" for a 4 a.m. to noon shift. What was I thinking?! I'll be crawling out of bed when some people are hearing last call. I'll be hearing last call for sanity =) I'm kind of excited about a change though. It's temporary so it's not going to kill me...I hope. So who wants to be my alarm clock? Lots of snuggles to you all...xoxo.

Holy Cow it's April!
Where has this year gone?! I have things to post about, but can't make myself sit at my computer to do it. I haven't even been on Pinterest! Am I sick you ask? Well, yeah, now that you mention it. You know the flu/cold mutation that's going around. Well, I have it. Since the beginning of March. It won't leave me. I will so give it to the first person that wants it. I have no muse at all, she's still on winter break. Which apparently so it my blog because I still have Christmas up lol. Maybe I should start there first. Just wanted to check in and say hey ya'll!

Updating Blog Home
I'm finally updating some odds and ends on the ol blog home. I put back my Google stalk thing over <-- there, so please stalk me. I'm also updating the pages that I stalk follow too. Lots of new sites are being added as I catch up on my email I'm adding the ones that I subscribe to. I have my Thanksgiving decorations up here as you can tell. For once I did those early lol. I am trying really hard to ignore all the DSD ads that are starting to roll in. I've only spent $12 so far so I'm really impressed with myself. It would be really great thought if some of these sales would continue through the 9th though because that's payday =) Hint, hint to all of you store owners out there!!! If I don't talk to you before the end of the weekend, happy DSD weekend!!! Now get scrappin!

My Sad iPhone & How it Almost Caused Divorce
I heard you ask why my iPhone is sad, thank you for asking =) I know you're really puzzled over the divorce part. Last Saturday I texted the Love of my Life if he wanted me to bring him lunch at work. I sent him an adorable pic of Layla with one of her little rubber cheeseburgers and told him that she wanted cheeseburgers for lunch. No answer. So I went back to bed. Woke up, still no answer. Fine, he's busy. We're two hours past the end of lunch, and I still haven't heard a peep from him. Now I'm not gonna lie, I was a "little" pissed. When I took my LaylaBoo out for a little sun time she was playing with the neighbor girls and I snapped a few pics and sent him one. Nothing. Nada. Crickets. Now he works a twelve hour shift, so I have a long time to mull over my pissedoffness. By the time 8pm rolls around and now the crickets aren't even chirping, I have decided I'm going to break his cell phone with a hammer...a small craft one of course. That way I can pound on it a couple of times.
So...he walks in the door, I'm nice, I'm polite, there's smoke coming out of my ears. I ask why he couldn't answer my texts to which the reply was "I did, right after you sent them. I was wondering where my cheeseburgers were." HUH? He showed me where he had indeed replied. Fresh crow served daily. Now I'm in love with my iPhone, I sleep with it for pete's sake. So I KNOW it can't be my precious that isn't working. We were going to CiCi's for pizza (ironically they have Cheeseburger Pizzas, my puppy would be in heaven) and as we're about a mile from the house, all these texts start coming through. Like I said, fresh crow served daily. Still not my phone. No matter that the texts were from different people, not just him.
Fast forward to Monday. He texted me twice to tell me he's not going to make it home for dinner. I cooked dinner, veal parm. Now those that follow my blog know it's a special day when I cook dammit. He's not home, I'm not happy. Puppy is, but she's always happy. I have now come to realization that my precious is causing a divorce. I've already divided up the furniture, and decided the happy puppy is mine.
Today I spend a little Googly time and realize that my precious iPhone has a problem. Apparently there's a lot of preciouses that have problems. It's a common, well known issue, dating back to last fall. THEN FIX IT DAMMIT!!! We could have had a fatherless puppy. I found some directions on Verizon's website that say update by dialing *228 and do option 2. That updates your roaming capabilities. Now I know I wander around the house aimlessly for hours on end, but I wouldn't consider it roaming. If that doesn't work, reprogram your phone by using option 1 instead. If all else fails, reformat the phone?! And lose all the pictures of my beloveds?! WHAT?! Insert iCloud here. Apparently I can put all my photos on a cloud and it will save them.
Current time update: Have precious plugged into my computer with her USB cord and it's doing a back up. It's been going at it for 2 hours already, and has a guestimated four hours left. I have two gigs of pics, etc on my phone. Holy cow. Thankfully no music or we'd be here all week. As far as I can tell, just updating the roaming has worked, I test texted two people and we had conversations about buttered popcorn (thanks Christina, you made me eat half a box of Cheeze-its). When all my pics are happily stored on the cloud, I will let ya'll see what I've been up to this month. Loves to you all!!

Where I've Been, Where I'm At, and Where I'm Going
Um...I don't know lol. I have been super busy the last two months! And I swear one of these days I'm going to post it all!!! I have pictures to prove it =) I hosted my daughter's baby shower for her little girl in March. That was an adventure that may deserve more than one post. I had drawn out several pages in my notebook about how I wanted to redecorate this summer, had even bought all new blinds. I had the puppy in classes for six long weeks. Only one night a week for an hour just about did us both in. I've been looking for a few small pieces of furniture to refinish to round out the house.
Which brings me to my present. I'm moving. To where I have no idea. We lease a townhouse in a condo allotment and after 16 years they have decided that they would make a lot more money if they renovate and sell. So my neighbor and I got the boot at the end of last month. We have till the end of May to find a new place because they will be gutting them both out and adding an additional floor.
It goes beyond words how heartbroken I am. I've made this our home and I really love it here. From previous posts through the years, you may remember I live on a lake with a dock in my backyard. I love the smell of algae (yes I'm aware that is really strange). I love listening to the geese, mallards, crickets, and frogs do their thing all night. Scott is so frustrated that we are hurrying to find a place. We were going to rent but both of us didn't realize that apparently rent has gone up in 16 years. What we are paying for a large amount of square footage has practically doubled in my area. We've decided that we are going to buy a house instead. To which I'm very excited about, but in turn, the searching and packing in a short amount of time is wearing out my brain. I'm stressed beyond belief.
One good thing is I'm definitely getting rid of stuff! There's an organizational blog somewhere out there that would be really proud of me. The other night Scott came home right after I got out of the shower and asked why I was still wandering around in my towel. I had to admit I had accidentally over packed my leggings that I wear around the house...and the tops roflmao. So may that be a lesson to those of you moving...be careful what you pack...you may need to wear it tomorrow!
I would like to document my journey for the new nest. I've already taken pictures of houses we looked at, etc. so I can share with you at some point. My camera and iphone are full of pictures of future posts so at some point I will return to blogland. Going to try to keep up with y'all though...much love♥

The Plumber
If that's what you call it anyway lol. This post is going to be an English teacher's worst nightmare...DO NOT get out the red pin lol.
My kitchen drain ended up clogged, but I wasn't sure why. I took the drain pieces parts apart, nada. Snaked in the wall, nada. Called my coa (condo owner's association) person who thinks I'm a woman and it's going to be an easy fix. I hurry home from work the next day since he's going to be there waiting on me, promptly at 4 pm. I don't hear from him, after an hour I send a very nice reminder text and ask if everything is ok *sigh* nothing, at 6 I send another text, you know, just in case the other one didn't arrive *sigh* nothing. Three hours late (he forgot), here he comes with a bucket and a snake, no tools (keep that in mind, you'll need it later). It starts off with him opening the cupboard under the sink and asking if I have any pipe wrenches. I do, but you don't need them for those new fangled pipes. Oh, good. I watch him take apart all the pipes, snake and then says after 15 minutes it was fixed. He then hooks everything up and runs water. I know I don't have to tell you it wasn't fixed. So he takes it all apart again (after he uses my bowls and towels because he didn't bring any). So he starts snaking again AND broke it off in the wall!!! Yes, I said he broke the snake off in the wall. Not sure how that happened, but all I thought was a sailor had been under the sink instead. Soooo...he ask's if I have a tiny mirror, why yes, I have a dental mirror and let me get you a flashlight too, you'll need it. A half hour later, he calls someone and was whispering. After that he asks if I have a sawzall and a hacksaw. Why yes, yes I do...after he used the sawzall to cut huge hole in cabinetry, took 1/2 hour to find the snake, hooks up another snake, says, oh I know it's fixed this time, THEN stands up and WASHES HIS HANDS IN THE SINK. Notice I didn't say anything about hooking back up the plumbing in the wall yet. Water EVERYWHERE. He hooks the shit back up, not fixed. Tells me he'll be back tomorrow with a plumber. At what point he decided maybe a professional should look at it I don't know. I say 4 o'clock on the dot, then he says, well could ya text me and remind me just in case. See, he was going to the bar to have a drink and wasn't sure how things were gonna go. I told him if he ends up in jail the one and only phone call he should make is to the PLUMBER!! Sooooo....
Fast forward to next day (Friday), I kindly text my lovely coa guy at 3 and remind him I'll be coming home in a bit and wanted to make sure we still were ok with our plans. Nothing. Maybe he doesn't have his phone with him. I hurry home. Would you be surprised if I said he wasn't there by 5? He finally calls me. Well, the plumbers don't work that late so they can't make it out til Monday, maybe around noon. I thought plumbers were 24 hours. These are not. Well, they are, but since he's made such mess he'll pay for the plumber, and he doesn't want to pay overtime. Fine, I'll be gone most of the weekend, but I can't make it home by noon on Monday. I have a job, imagine that. So I suggest Wednesday. Nope, plumber is busy. They only have one plumber?! Well, no, but they have a big job to do, and my kitchen sink doesn't compare. Fine. We settle on Thursday, but they refuse to come out any later than noon. I leave work early. Not happy. They run the snake, within 10 minutes, "Ma'am, your sink is ready to go". Huh?! What?! "We snaked 50 feet and your drain is cleared, everything is ok for you." After a whole week, you have no idea how thankful I am that this is fixed. Now my drain DOES work, I only have this giant whole in the back of the cabinet with the pink fluffies hanging out because COA guy threw out the board *sigh*

A Catch All Post
I'm sitting here at work (what else would I do here on a Sunday at 7am?) wondering what I accomplished last month. I broke a few things does that count? My car with the 33,000 miles has a "small" exhaust issue. Ok, truth be told, the pipe that goes into one of the mufflers decided it didn't want to be attached to the car anymore. I won that argument and showed it who's boss. I did the proverbial wire it up until I'm done with other purchases (like a phone). Good grief my priorities are horrible lol.
I'm going to tell ya about my plumbing issue in a post all it's own. Yes, I feel it is that good!
I did review my resolves that I put in the last post. So far I've already blown #1.
#2...sucked at this one too.
#3...kinda' sorta. Looked into this Aflac-y thing that Scott's insurance agent offered since I don't have insurance through my day job. I have to write the check, looks like a good plan for me. So this is a start.
#4...I did manage to get rid of some junk. So far there are 6 bags ready to go to Goodwill, and I prolly put at least 5 loaded bags at the curb. I also found a few cool ways to get my closet under control, so yes, that'll be another post. I have all these posts planned, better get my fingers in control and start typing *s*
#5...I've kinda' done well with the whole cooking thing. Last week was veal parm, homemade meatball subs, meatloaf and taters, nachos, and smothered chicken with macaroni. Didn't bake, but I cooked, and that is like a really big thing for me!!
#6...well I've pinned more =)
#7...camera? Has dust on it.
#8...haven't been into any baby type stores to buy any cute goodies...have looked on line though.
So, looking back at the month, not too bad.

...ing
I saw this idea over at Primitive and Proper's blog and thought it would be fun! I love to do these question type of things, and they are always so much fun to read. I would love it if you leave a comment for me if you decide to play along.
Making : A mess as always lol. My kitchen table is covered in craft projects that are half finished. Thankfully we don't eat at that table *s*.
Cooking : I found a box of vermicelli rice stuff to make for lunch. In the microwave. Does that count?
Drinking : Diet Coke. If you see me without one...PANIC!!!!!!!!!
Reading: Halfway through Jeaniene Frost's "Eternal Kiss of Darkness".
Wanting: A really good dinner, I'm absolutely starving.
Looking: At Pinterest and my email.
Playing: Rihanna's "Loud".
Wasting: I would say time, because I have only cleaned the kitchen and did one load of laundry, but today is me and puppy day. I don't have many days where it's just us, so I've lavished all of my attentions on her today.
Sewing: I had started on a purse, but got half way through it and lost interest.
Wishing: I could have the opportunity to redecorate my whole house. Oh that would be so awesome to go furniture shopping again...maybe I should also wish for an unlimited budget for that one.
Enjoying: Other than time with Layla today, the time that I get to spend with hubby, which hopefully will be later tonight.
Praying: That I recognize all the blessings in my life and can appreciate them.
Waiting: For Fall. It's just so blessed hot and humid that it literally makes me sick.
Liking: I get paid on Tuesday!!! I want to start my Christmas shopping =) I'm going to be done early this year (yes, I am aware that I say that every year).
Wondering: What lies ahead in my future. I devote way too much time to that, sometimes I forget to enjoy the present.
Loving: Scott and my furry family!
Hoping: That the company I work for wakes up and realizes that most of us aren't real crazy about the new dress policy. We went from casual business to jeans and company supplied polos. I miss getting up in the morning and getting all pretty for work =(
Marvelling: How Scott's aunt has kept going. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and has/had congestive heart failure all in this year. I know they say God doesn't give you what you can't handle, but really, I do think that is a bit much.
Needing: To relax and let things happen as they are supposed to.
Smelling: My wonderful watermelon scented candle that I picked up at Wal-Mart of all places.
Wearing: A pair of navy shorts and a white cami.
Following: My wishing star.
Noticing: That I'm getting gray hair. I need to stop looking so closely in the mirror at myself.
Knowing: That I need to strive harder to be a better person.
Thinking: About how much I enjoy my life just as it is right now.
Bookmarking: Blogs...I'm always bookmarking blogs. Is there a 12 step program for that?
Opening: The pineapple jello that I made the other day. I've nibbled on it here and there today.
Giggling: Over the fact that the aforementioned puppy is now finally worn out and is snoring at my feet.
Feeling: Content.

Carnival Ride
So who wants to slow this carnival ride of life down for me so I can hop on?! I have been so overwhelmed this last week it's incredible. Between my car (which still isn't done yet btw), I let my plates expire so I'm running around at the last minute trying to get the echeck in between other commitments. My step daughter decided she's coming for a visit in nine days and I'm about having a heart attack. Her bedroom turned into my room when she moved out over a year ago, so I need to return it back to a bedroom for her to stay in while she's here. I'm not sure she wants to sleep on half finished crafty things...at least the Modge is dry lol. I miss my making messes *pout* Hopefully I can get everything caught up so I can get things done and have lots of pics to show ya!!!! Cross your fingers for me *s*

So Much to Catch Up On...
since I've been sick. Which I still am by the way. I heal at the opposite of warp speed. My voice has finally came back to me and now I can have real conversations with people without them either laughing hysterically at me for sounding like a pubescent boy or saying they can't hear me. My cough still sounds like a pissed off walrus, but what can I do?
I did receive some crappy news today though. I took my car to the shop to have my tires rotated, balanced, and an alignment. I was ready to tell them keep the POS not happy with the news. Apparently, with only 28,800 miles, I need new tie rods, ball joints, and front tires. Short of having a nervous breakdown right there, I just told them I'd take the car home. So on my way to the shop (I spend my days off from job #1 working with hubby), I dropped it off at the place next door that does all sorts of car related goodness. They did agree with the same things being wrong, but thankfully, the quote came a little cheaper. Now my bumble bee is spending the night in the shop again. Still not over the computer system incident in November. Please don't anyone ask me what I think of Fords right now =)
I'm going to catch up on my laundry and I might even *gasp* clean the house a bit...maybe.

Why I Will Never Be a Doctor
In my house I now believe it's one thing or another, and that would only be good if it were say....chocolate...or money lol. Last Sunday, I started with the whole scratchy throat sniffly thing, thought it was allergies. By Wednesday, I'm hacking up a lung, my voice is starting to go, and I pretty much feel like crap. I hadn't seen Mom in awhile, so I kept our lunch date (not missing out on crab wontons!!). Napped the rest of the afternoon, felt a little bit better, so hey, I'm cured. Woke up Thursday and went to work and was greeted with "Gee, you look like walking death". Ok folks, it's not even 7 am yet, it's not polite to judge. Made it through the whole day despite the people that think it's most amusing to hear me talk when I don't have a voice. Worked half day Friday, slept most of Saturday, worked half day Easter, said screw it on Monday around 2 am and called off. My ear was killing me, stabbing pains, all clogged up, couldn't hear out of it legit this time not ignoring hubby I slept til um *cough* 7 pm! Up for a coupla hours then back to bed with more frozen food on my head.
Which, here's a tip for those with annoying pets: Even though they may not like frozen veggies, they are aware that the frozen bag on your head that you're trying to hide from them in a towel, is indeed food. The puppy was ok, but the three voracious little hunters that I have chewed a freaking whole in my bag of frozen corn. WTH?!
Ok, back to the exciting stuffs. I made it through most of today *woohoo*, and thankfully I'm off tomorrow. I have a crafty to do list a mile long and this is really disrupting it. If I could just stop napping and start breathing I'm positive things would be soo much better. I have picture frames half started laying on the kitchen table, well mostly anyway. Hubby did say something about this funny string stuff in the living room. I know nothing.

Why I Won't Become a Grafitti Artist
Are you asking yourself what I did to come to that conclusion? I attempted spray painting. All the painting I have ever done in my life has been with a brush. I did get this idea that I needed to practice because I want to put up some new shelves in the bedroom.
The first mistake is: hubby and I were at WalMart picking up an extension cord, I tell him I need spray paint. He kind of reminds me of a parent taking over a school project lol. We go down the spray paint aisle, I pick up a can of black paint and a can of primer. "Are you sure that's what you want?" I say in my best knowledgeable voice "yes, this is what they picture on all those blogs Istalk read". He just looks at me and proceeds to look over every brand of spray paint there is, tell me what each is for, then ask me what I'm doing. I tell him I don't want the dollar a can stuff, I really like the choice of colors from Krylon, and I don't need Rustoleum, that looks like outside stuff. So we start going through the colors. "How about this one, it's a nice shade of blue, or this green is ok". I decide on watermelon because I want to do a few frames to hang on a black/white damask board. "You only need three cans?" *sigh*
The second mistake is: "Do you want me to show you how to use it?" No, I can read the directions. So out on the deck I go with my newspapers and frame from Michaels. I layer the back of the frame in white primer, looks ok after it dries, but it needs another coat or two. I must have layered it on a little thick because it now has drips on one side. No big deal, I'm hand painting part of the frame black anyway. Turn frame over, spray other side. Dries ok. Spray another layer. Go inside and wait "patiently". Go back outside. Damn if the wind didn't blow my top layer of newspaper into the wet paint. I pick up frame, notice I have the paint to thick in one section as it's still wet and now stuck to my hand. Pick up newspapers, realize that because there was a slight wind, I now have over spray on deck. Think of how I can blame this on the neighbor kids. Throw frame on kitchen counter to dry. Hide it when he comes home.
Eventually I will finish the project and then post a picture. I couldn't get a close enough picture of the horrific drips or the newsprint. At least I still have my sense of humor, and the cats aren't white.
